Athletics
EBS’s athletic program provides opportunities for both novice and skilled athletes. Every student who signs up for a team and attends practice will have a chance to play. Middle school is an ideal time for athletes to develop their physical skills, teamwork, self-discipline, sportsmanship, and commitment.
The school year is divided into three athletic seasons, affording many opportunities for involvement at all skill levels:
Fall (September - November): flag football, soccer, cross country
Winter (December - March): basketball
Spring (March - May): ultimate frisbee
In addition to team sports, at various times athletic skill-building electives, such as basketball, Capoeira, Muay Thai, wrestling, and conditioning, are offered for 7th and 8th graders, and after school club activities, such as rock climbing, are available to all students.
