Brendan Ward

Brendan arrived at EBS after years of working as a furniture designer, fabricator, and woodworker. He take EBS’s Work pillar to heart, teaching the design process as well as all the tools and techniques unique to our Work program. He finds untold fulfillment in witnessing our students build and steward our school in a constant collaboration down in the shop—their contributions to the space we share are everywhere.

Prior to joining EBS, he worked as a woodworker and designer in the East Bay; a film industry production designer and lead carpenter in LA; and a set fabricator and installer in Brooklyn. Brendan earned a bachelor's degree from NYU’s Gallatin School for Individualized Study, concentrating in Design and Sociology. He loves camping, cooking, beach volleyball, dancing, and building odds and ends for his friends and community.
